Build Your Very Own Fantasy Universe Through Virtual Reality

We all know how tough it is to distinguish between real images and doctored images. And the increasing popularity of Photoshop clearly isn’t helping. But it’s not all bad. With improvements in technology, we have the opportunity to boldly go where no man has gone before.

Thanks to Singaporean artist, SezerSean (and a little help from Photoshop), it is now possible to travel to space – in the relative (dis)comfort of your daily commute.

So, if you’ve always dreamt about taking a ride into the great unknown, let these images show you what it’s really like to watch universes unfold under your nose.

Who said dreams were not possible?

In his youth, SezerSean said it was his dream to be an astronaut. As he got older, he may have concluded that migrating to a country with an actual space program might have been a little extreme. On the bright side, he seems to have found a satisfactory alternative.

SezerSean was able to overlay stock images onto real ones to send MRT stations into the stars. Words fail to describe the grandeur of what he has accomplished – we’ll let his pictures speak for themselves!

Do you remember Mars being this close? Neither do we.

Hate bumpy rides? Say no more – a little sojourn in anti-gravity will do you a world of good. But sit tight. It’ll take a while for you to return to your seats.

With a cosmic farm – you won’t have to worry about food or oxygen again.

Photoshop is not the only tool

We know how this Singaporean artist managed to create his masterpiece of an album – but there are lots of ways to digitally enhance existing footage.

These days, many businesses, mobile developers and tons of animation companies have moved beyond the enhancement of stills to the use of software such as Aftereffects, Maya, Cinema 4D and Nuke to create beautiful pieces of moving art.

But that’s not all. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality further blur the lines between the real and the digital in the creation of even more stunning pieces. In fact, don’t take our word for it – give an expert a task to create something with existing technology – we guarantee they’ll blow you away.

Let’s take motion graphics in Singapore for example – it’s a family of many styles. From 2D to 3D, it’s possible to manipulate elements to create infinite nebulae. While photoshop lets you capture and edit a quick instance in time, video editing tools allow you to change elements in a composition in the creation of a set of moving pictures in any style you might desire.

Want outer space to look like a cartoon? Stylise your images. Or do you want to manipulate different elements in the galaxy while remaining connected to the real world? Be our guest and let augmented reality do the magic.

Why is there a need for other tools?

It’s one thing to actually be in outer space, it’s another to ‘create’ it.

Setting your feet on a different planet is a practical impossibility – unless you’re filthy rich, of course.

The next best alternative could be to create an environment that approximates a different world.

Now, let’s picture an image or video without any additional touches or effects. It may not be the most exciting.

So if you’re going to do an explainer video in Singapore, you probably want to go the extra mile to figure out which tool works best for your content. We’re not saying you should just add features indiscriminately and see what sticks – the objective here is to fully understand which style or service will give you the look you desire.

At the end of the day, you should know that a few details here and there can really spice things up. Regardless of whether it is a corporate video or any other type of content, adding some extra elements will help to make it more captivating.

After all, if someone else can reify their dream, so can you.
