7 people shut in lifts freed after fire outbreak

Seven people who were trapped in the Golden Mile Complex’s lifts on the Beach Road were on Wednesday afternoon freed after a fire outbreak in the complex.

In a news release, the Singapore Civil Defence Force stated that when they arrived at the scene of the incident at 4:37 pm, the fire was blazing inside an electrical room at the ground floor. It was. However, it was put out with two water jets.

Besides, a lift technician opened the door of the elevator on the 10th floor that trapped five persons and freed them.

SCDF reported that about 200 people willingly vacated the building before the arrival of the SCDF.
